FLOOD INSURANCE
Flood Insurance provides coverage to property in the event of a flood. Most Homeowner’s, Commercial Property Policies and Farm Policies do not cover flood damage, so a separate Flood Policy needs to be purchased. These policies are rated based on flood maps issued by FEMA. Here’s some additional information from HouseLogic.
INLAND MARINE
Watercraft, Recreational Vehicles and Collectibles are typically insured with an Inland Marine Policy. These can be issued under a separate policy or endorsed onto your home or farm policy. They have a wide variety of deductibles to choose from along with very broad coverage.
DWELLING FIRE
Dwelling Fire Policies are used to insure dwellings occupied by a tenant or sometimes a home that is not otherwise eligible for a Homeowner’s Policy. Loss of rents and liability coverage is usually included on these policies.
People who live in glass houses should take out insurance.
